Singing workshop

When we read the feedback books last year we had lots of requests for more SINGING workshops and this year we are going to have a total of 15 workshops!

With our extra wondrous day of WIT we are going to be able to have 15 workshops this year. Whoopee!!

Workshop leaders will be paid by giving them their ticket for the whole festival (Plus a ticket for a free meal on the day they perform). So it is You the women of WIT we are looking to for our workshops. Is there a skill you have that you can share with others? Is there a woman you know who leads workshops and would love WIT?

Remember WIT workshops can be anything!
Predominantly we will be choosing music based ones and especially singing based ones but dance, politics, craft and alternative therapies will all be considered. Or can you come up with an idea that connects to our theme for 2012 of Revolting Women?

We are actively looking for workshops on:

Singing
Twmpath dances
Guitar techniques
Klezmer
Or combinations of these

Zumba
Dyke politics
African drumming
Jazz and Blues

If you would like to apply to run a workshop, please complete our application form and send it in by March 21st. This is so that we can ensure a diversity of workshops. If you cant get it in by then you will still be considered…we may be able to squeeze you in.

As part of the WIT celebration of this being the 30th anniversary of Greenham Common Women's Peace Protest we have added Paula Boulton's collection of Feminist Songs of Peace and Protest to the WIT web site. They are available to read or download. Paula has included an MP3 of some of the songs.
