Michigan Womyn's
Music Festival
Twenty-five years ago, almost by accident, we created a space
that has become a home to the ideas and expression of womyn's
community. It started as a 70's party - a place to relax, listen
to great music and enjoy some time in the deep woods of Michigan
. The annual gathering has become a touchstone and a vision of
alternative community that is regenerated each year, building
on the experience of the years before.

Angelic Music Provides Launch Pad For Female Songwriters
The global competition is open to all female singer songwriters
and costs £15 to enter up to three songs in English. Entry
forms can be found on the Angelic website, the closing date for
entries is 30 June 2006 .

Headlining female fronted indie/punk/alt bands in Cardiff .
Monthly night run by women at Chapter Arts Centre, Canton ,
Cardiff . They aim to bring the best of international and UK

Women in Music
Women in Music was founded in 1987 and has grown into a highly
successful national membership organisation that celebrates and
raises public awareness of women's work in all types of music
from rock and pop to classical and jazz as well as supporting,
encouraging and enabling women to make music.
Sound Sense
Sound Sense is the UK development agency for community music.
They promote the significance and value of community music, and
assist the professional development of people practising and
participating in it. They provide help, advice, networks and
contacts including the National Music and Disability Information
Service; Professional development events, seminars, conferences;
Publications on all aspects of participatory music making, including
a monthly members bulletin, and a quarterly magazine; Advocacy
and research in support of community music; articles and info
for magazines, newspapers and other media.

The Cardigan Youth Project, Drop-In and Information Shop, is
a registered charity set up to give help and support to all young
people in the Ceredigion area and also the Pembrokeshire and
Carmarthenshire areas.

Women In Music National Network is a non-profit organization
dedicated to promoting the advancement and recognition of women
in the music industry. World-wide exposure offers a network to
many contacts and resources. Free WIMNN membership includes free
email service, a quarterly newsletter, and discussion forums
through the "Network".
